Chief Sabum (Teacher) Master Simon Wachon
Master Wachon is an 8th Dan in Tae Kwon Do (ITF) and 4th in kickboxing and has 40 years of experience
Practicing and coaching martial arts. He teaches classes for all ages and abilities of Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing
and Self-defense with elements of other martial arts such as Karate, Tang Soo Do, Aikido, Kung Fu, Jujitsu,
and pressure points. Master Wachon was born in the UK and taught there before moving to Canada. He
has been a World, National, International champion & teacher of champions.

Sabum (Teacher) Maria
Maria is a 3rd Dan in Tae Kwon Do, training under Master Wachon. She began her journey in Mexico with
WTF IMTKD, earning bronze medals in national tournaments and additional bronze placements in other
competitive sports. With a very diverse background that includes child development, MC is skilled at
supporting diverse learning styles and abilities. She excels at breaking down complex concepts
adapting her approach to meet each student’s needs and has taught Tae Kwon Do, various sports,
and academic subjects. Maria believes martial arts is one of the most powerful ways to strengthen both
body and mind. She is passionate about helping students of all ages try new things, feel welcomed, and
grow in a positive, inclusive environment where everyone belongs, is supported, and becomes part of a
thriving community.
